What Is An Independent Voter?
An independent voter is someone who chooses to go off the beaten path because they are completely disgusted with the way that the democrats and republicans have run the United States. The people are getting more and more fed up with the government and see it is time for a change therefore becoming independent voters.
Independent voters are unable to vote in the preliminary elections because they usually only have one candidate to choose from. In other words, they lose a little bit of power in the first elections but during the main elections, they have more power because they can vote for a candidate that is not either republican or democrat.
